My weakness and GIVEAWAY reminder!

Today I feel quite deflated.
I had an appointment this morning with a mortgage adviser, to say the least, it did not go well....

All in all we have no where near enough money ...
...and this is why!

I don't stop spending, in my defense I always spend little, but I do it often.
Here are a few of my recent goodies.

My pretty blanket box, it needs a bit of TLC but I love it all the same.

Some new tea towels, with cute florals of course.

A new blanket (to go in my new box perhaps?) and some vintage pretties.

Pillow slips.

and a little belated Easter treat for me. More books!

So Mr. Mortgage man, this is why we have no money!

Thank you to all the lovely ladies who have entered my giveaway and to those who popped the button on their sidebar.
My giveaway ends this Sunday so there is still plenty of time to enter!

Until next time .... keep spending!

Buzz the bubbling mess ....

Never owned a Buzz? Well you should!

Buzz is a friendship cake a good friend passed on to me. You receive a little tub of what I suppose is a yeasty starter mix and a set of instructions. You "nurture" and feed Buzz for 10 days. Once he's fully grown you split him into 5 little baby Buzz and pass them onto your friends with a set of instructions.

Unfortunately I do not have a photo of my baked Buzz to show you, because frankly ... I ate the lot!
But here is a lovely link where you can get the recipe needed to start your own!

Have fun and spend the love!

P.S I'd love to see pictures, if you do birth a Buzz!

Brilliant Bloggers

I have recently had some lovely parcels drop through my letter box. Is so nice to receive things other than the junk mail or bills we usually get.

Both parcel were from some lovely Blog-y friends.

These beauties came from Magie at Teacups and Bunting.
(Do pop over to "visit" Magie she is just so lovely)

Magie is expecting a little baby girl later this year, I sent her a pair of crocheted baby slippers I'd made,  and blogged about here.

She sent this parcel to me as a thank you, which was really sweet of her. I had said to her I didn't want anything in return, but was totally thrilled to receive all this lovely-ness.

Did you spot the little badge? I always wear badges and brooches and have a growing collection!

I was really lucky to win a giveaway by Victoria at Florence and Mary.

Her blog is also really great. She has just had her Birthday, do pop over and say Hello if you've not been there before.

She sent me this Clock making kit, I can't wait to design mine. The kit came with a CD for the computer to use to create a masterpiece. Now I can't promise mine will be a masterpiece, but I'll try my best! What this space....

Thank you lovely ladies, for making my day!

... He was right all along ...

On Friday I did a little baking, ready for the party on Saturday. When I told my Husband I would be baking that day, his reply was ... "so there'll be kitchen carnage tomorrow?".

Of course, I did not react well to this comment. I insisted I'm a very tidy cook and never leave a mess.

I decided to try out my new piping nozzles on the cupcakes, but Alas! I had no piping bags so had to improvise and make my own.

This was the result of said decision .....
